Final agreement executed with Ottevanger Milling Engineers for the modular feed mill.
Detailed engineering, process design, and equipment specifications finalized in collaboration with Ottevanger.
Official groundbreaking held at the MAFES H. H. Leveck Animal Research Center.
Current feed mill building cleaned out for construction preparation; equipment fabrication begins in the Netherlands.
Feed mill modules entered active fabrication and assembly in the Netherlands; building package released for competitive bidding.
Building bids opened.
Building contractor selected; 180-day construction schedule begins; feed mill modules shipped from the Netherlands.
Concrete slab completed; modular feed mill arrives at the Port of New Orleans.
Feed mill modules delivered to Mississippi State and set on the concrete slab.
Building erected around the feed mill modules; utilities, controls, and final equipment connections completed.
Commissioning, training, and initial feed production.

Primary Goal: Help define and prioritize current and future MSU Poultry Feed Mill needs and goals in order for the Poultry Science Department to better serve the Poultry and Feed Manufacturing industries in Teaching, Applied Research, and Outreach
Feed Mill Advisory Board: Executive Committee - Est. May 2025
Primary Goal: Utilize members of the feed mill advisory board and others with feed manufacturing expertise (not employed by feed mill equipment companies) to critically evaluate feed mill project proposals received in May 2025; outline proposal strengths and weaknesses, while considering original project goals defined by the broader Feed Mill Advisory Board, as well as current fundraising and realistic expectations
