Rabbit Housing Plans
The Poultry Department offers many plans for the construction of poultry and rabbitry houses. Listed below are only a portion of the many plans available. Blueprint sized copies of the plans shown here and hundreds more are available by contacting your Mississippi County Extension Office. Many are also available from the Mississippi State University Poultry Department.
Construction plans available at this website include:
- 6-Row Caged Rabbit House Plans
Cross section, floor plan and detail drawings of a single-tier cage house for approximately 100 does and bucks. Capacity can be doubled or tripled by stacking cages. - 4-Row Caged Rabbit House Plans
Cross section, floor plan and detail drawings of a smaller version of the previous house. Approximately 60 does and bucks can be housed. Capacity can be doubled or tripled by stacking cages. - Home Made Rabbit Cages
Plans for building two types of all metal rabbit cages. The plan is viewable and printable using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
The Poultry Department has developed a coloring booklet with help from some of our youngest poultry producers.
This 8-page booklet is displayed as individual pages in the Adobe Acrobat file format. This format produces higher quality printouts of the selected pages. Additional pages will be added periodically, so check back in the future and update your coloring book.
